To become a DM in the chat program you can either be the creator of the game room. This person gets access to DM features. A DM can also assign other people in the room to be DM's by right clicking on their name in the members list on the right hand side of the main window. User: Snake |

Sometimes it is necessary for us to take the chat program offline for code or server maintenance and unfortunately there are also times when the server goes off without warning (power cuts, human error, ISP problems etc) – this will cause the server to be unreachable and you’ll receive a warning that you cannot connect. In both cases there should be a message on the news section of the forum stating that the server is offline, so please be patient and the staff will try their quickest to resume service. The create a game, click on the create game button in the Games List screen. This will bring up a prompt which will ask you what you want to call the game. There is also a tick box in this screen that says 'Allow Observers'. This feature is currently disabled until version 4 is released. Once you have entered a suitable name for the room, click Create. If the game name is already in use then the program will prompt you and you will be taken back to the create game screen. If the game is created sucessfully, you will be taken into the game and made the DM of the room. User: Snake |

This is assuming that you have already downloaded the files for the chat program and saved them to a location on your computer that you can easilly access. For this example I will store the files on my Desktop.
Now browse to your desktop, right click on the compressed folder you just downloaded and click Extract Here.
The files will then be placed into a folder on your desktop.
You can now double click on Dungeons & Dragons Chat executable file. This is the one with the D&D Chat logo.
The program should now load up and you should see the Login screen. User: Snake |

First of all, you need to load the program up and be able to see the Login screen. At this point, click on the Register button.
Enter your requested username into the username box, then enter a password into the password, and the password again box. Then enter your e-mail address into the box and click on Register.
If the username you requested is already in use then the program will warn you of this, and take you back to the Registration screen. If the username isn't taken, then you should get a message saying that the registration has been successfull. You are then taken to the login screen where you are able to login. User: Snake |
